Nigerians have reacted after the name of the immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, was not included in the list of ministerial nominees submitted to the Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.

We reported earlier that Buhari submitted a list of 43 nominees to the Senate for screening and approval on Tuesday.

Many Nigerians expected the name of Ambode to appear on the list after he obeyed his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC’s directives and handed over to Babajide Sanwo-Olu after one term as Lagos Governor.

However, he was not named in Buhari’s list submitted on Tuesday.

Here are some reactions:

@afekhumedaniel, “Na wa for these Lagos boys ooo…..You guys removed Ambode as Governor….prevented him from being appointed as Minister (if rumors are true)…and would still come on Social media to drag him on the floor.”

@adebangie, “I’m pained. So on top all the waka wey Ambode follow Buhari do for the campaigns, local man didn’t make the list.”

@CasidiCafadi, “Since Ambode didn’t make #TheList, Permanent Secretary won’t pass him by.”

@Tee_Classiquem, “Ambode to tinubu.

You stripped me off my throne and hand it over to Sanwo olu. #MinisterialList still come out I no dey there.”

@nattydamsel25, “Someone said Ambode didn’t get the cut off mark that’s why his name is missing on the list. #MinisterialList.”

@Iam_aydebug, “Buhari finally release #MinisterialList and Ambode is missing, that’s impossible. Ambode waiting for supplementary list.”

@Iamdemetin, “Tinubu right now after seeing people’s reactions about Ambode not making #MinisterialList

Shey Tinubu will remove Ambode from Lagos and send him to Abuja.”

@Slimkally, “Ambode trying to figure out why he didn’t make the list #MinisterialList.”
