Actress Mercy Aigbe celebrated her 40th birthday today and she painted social media red.

And literally, Mercy’s red dress was the talk of her day and also the cause of a still brewing controversy.

An aggrieved bride with the Instagram handle, @rettypety’s wedding was scheduled for December 29 2017. The bride has called out her designer, Maryam Elisha (@rikaotobyme) for giving out the dress meant for her wedding to Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe for her 40th birthday photoshoot.

According to her she started crying because of the incident. On her traditional wedding day, she had nothing else to fall back to after the designer failed her. The tailor  reportedly told her that the delivery guy defaulted on way-billing of the gown, suggested giving her one of her old clothes after disappointing her.
