Ex-Chelsea midfielder Ramires returns back to his former club as he steps up recovery from injury at their Cobham training ground.
The 30-year-old spent six years with Premier League Champions before making a switch to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning in January 2016 for a reported £25million.
The Brazilian was a popular figure among the Blues fans and Ramires confirmed he was back at the club by uploading a picture from the club’s training ground but he’s clearly extended his stay in the capital.
Chelsea playmaker Kenedy uploaded a photo to Instagram today that showed Ramires wearing a full Chelsea kit and accompanied it with the caption: ‘This is for real’.
Chelsea often open up their doors to former players and have welcomed the likes of Didier Drogba, Andriy Shevchenko and Michael Essien back to the club in recent months.
Ramires made 246 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 46 goals in all competitions winning Champions League, Europa League, Premier League, FA Cup and League Cup.
