Why USA Banned TikTok

TikTok is currently topping one of the most used social media apps in the world. It's favorite users are the GenZs and the app is currently no.5 among the worlds 5 most used social media platforms which are according to ranking:

1. Facebook 
2. YouTube 
3. WhatsApp 
4. Instagram 
5. TikTok 

From the above list, Meta Group owns 3 out of the top 5 most used social media app and platforms in the world. 

Recently, there has been rising concerns about the use of TikTok in the United States which is all backed by security concerns. 

Before the sworing in of the 47th President of United States of America, president Donald Trump, TikTok was banned because of allegations that the app provides the Chinese government access to vital private infomation of the citizens of United States of America. 

The banning of TikTok in the US caused a widespread outcry as many peoples income and businesses were affected. Also, it is worth to note that TikTok is currently the 7th most valued brand in the world with an amazing value estimated at $105.8Billion as of this writing.

Upon resuming office, President Donald Trump gave an executive order to help give TikTok another opportunity to source for a US based form to buy the platform in the states. Do you think Elon Musk will be interested in owning the app, let us know what you think in the comment section.
